CHRISTINE HORSTMAN

Christine Horstman is the owner of Paper Doll Communication. She is a Certified Professional Coach, a Certified Career Coach, and a Professional Development Instructor.
The heart of a helper balanced with strategic thinking, Christine is able to find patterns and tease out issues. She is determined in overcoming obstacles and finding a new way forward, no matter how deep down you have to dig or creative you have to get.
Christine’s talent is drawing out and building on our unique strengths and facilitating growth.

Highly intuitive and empathetic, Christine prides herself on making her clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She emphasizes emotional intelligence, communication, and soft skills.
Known for her laugh, Christine brings a healthy dose of humor and playfulness into all that she does and strives to be enthusiastic and engaging whether in her coaching, writing, speaking, or training.

Two things inform Christine’s coaching – her chronic illness and her son’s learning differences.

They have made her more aware of the concept of ability, learning styles, and what resilience really looks like.

Christine works with women who want to cultivate their strengths, talents, and communication skills not just for themselves, but for their family and teams. Her wish is that everyone has a career and life that makes them excited to get out of bed in the morning.

Christine is a go-to resource for the Dallas Public Library’s Job Seeker’s Club.

As a part of their Workforce Development program, Christine is a regular speaker for the “Ask a Career Coach” series. She is the former host of Her Career Catalyst for the virtual platform, Her Nexx Chapter.

Christine honed her writing skills in the Dallas Morning News; Community Voices program and was awarded Most Valuable Contributor.
As someone who believes in the importance of philanthropy and giving back, Christine is active in her community serving on The Circle of Friends Board for New Friends New Life, a non-profit dedicated to helping formerly trafficked women and girls rebuild their lives. She has recently founded a chapter of Young Men’s Service League to share her heart for volunteering with her
son.

Professionally, Christine has partnered with The Mom Project as a Unity Coach to provide pro bono career coaching to women re-entering the workforce or laid off due to Covid-19. She is also a volunteer coach with Grad Life Choices supporting students and recent graduates at the start of their careers.
Christine lives in Dallas with her husband of over twenty years, their teenage son, and her fur baby. She is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies.
